Ever changing lifts?

A little while ago I was training with a bikini coach. I’ve since stopped working with this person (won’t get into the why) but still want to lift. My question is this. Did split workouts 4 days a week. The exercises I did for each specific day would alternate every week. For example: on a back/chest day one week I would do WG lat pulldowns, Sumo Deadlifts, DB Bench press, cable face pulls and cable straight arm pulldowns. The next week I may have one of the same lifts, but that’s it. New ones from week to week really. Is this common?
