my 24 year old fiancee can't lose weight - driving her insane

She's working out 4-5 times a week, eating really healthy and the number on the scale just simply will not go down. I've spent a ton of time with her - we were together all day sunday. She eats 2 meals a day of around 500-700 calories. We eat nothing but natural stuff - meat, veggies, quality fats (peanut butter, avocado), a little bit of rice and potatoes - no bread, no processed stuff. We do have a cheat meal on Saturday but 95% of our other meals are pretty clean. She eats 2 meals a day - we've measured all the meals, it's always around 500-700 calories each (typically something like 4 oz chicken, little avocado, little rice).

This week she has been really great dieting and going to gym - she weighted 200 lbs on monday and today she's 203 (she's 5'10 and has a decent amount of muscle). WTF can I do to help her? Honestly I can eat 30-40% more than her and lose weight. She eats a lot less than me and stays the same or gains weight (I'm 5'10 212 male)

She has sworn to me that she's not cheating or binge eating when I'm watching. She desperately wants to lose weight and even asked me for a tummy tuck. I go to gym with her and she works out very hard

1)Is it possible she just has a horrific metabolism genetically?

2)Could she have ruined her metabolism by dieting? She's prolly like 30% BF and wants to be down to 20%. She was closer to 35% before

3)Could there be something wrong with her hormones/thyroid? What tests do I need to do to figure this out?

4)Should I have her go see a weight loss coach? Her doctor is seemingly not helping her.

edit: I should mention she's gotten results doing Keto but it causes her horrible stomach issues/pooping issues. She's tried twice and it screwed her up both times.

Tutorial Bodybuilding and Plank

The plank is a classic exercise that strengthens your body from head to toe. In particular, the plank helps strengthen your core muscles, including your abdominals and lower back. Having a strong core is linked to reduced lower back pain, an improved ability to perform daily tasks, and enhanced athletic performance.

New, what to do?

Hi everyone!

I am new to this health/fitness lifestyle, and I am currently stuck and am hoping for any advice!

I’m a 25 year old female. I was 5’4” 167 pounds, now I am 133 pounds. I lost that weight just from eating better and doing cardio 5x a week. However, I am still not happy with how I look. I have not done any strength training yet.

I got a dexa scan and it shows I’m 34.5% body fat! I feel that is quite a bit for being 133 pounds?

I also got a RMR breathing test done, and my RMR is 1,227. My TDEE is 1,902 and that accounts for my desk job with 3-5 days of exercise.

My question is what should I do? Should I continue to try and lose more body fat or should I focus on building muscle? I’ve heard a little about body recomposition, but I am not knowledgeable enough about it to see if it’s something I can do.

Any insight on nutrition (where should I set my calories?) and exercise would be greatly appreciated!

planks for girls

The plank is a great core exercise that doesn't involve doing any crunches. This video will show you how to do a basic plank, with a focus on form before moving into more advanced variations.
The plank is a classic exercise that works your muscles from head to toe.

Though you may dread the idea of a plank, you’ll reap many benefits from this simple and equipment-free move.

That said, you may wonder how it will get you in shape, what muscles it targets, and how to know whether you’re doing it correctly.

May reduce lower back pain
A strong core has been shown to reduce lower back pain and the risk of back injury.

Your abdominal muscles support your lumbar spine (lower back), helping provide structural stability and assist with pelvis movement. Increasing stability in the lumbar spine may help reduce and prevent lower back pain (9Trusted Source, 10Trusted Source, 11Trusted Source).

That said, if you have chronic back pain, always seek the advice of a healthcare professional before starting a new exercise program.

Do you want a sexy body? 😊 (cto. Chloe)

Unbelievable!!!

PLANKING exercise (for beginners)

If there is one exercise we all love to hate and hate to love it is this one . A plank is a simple effective body weight exercise that requires no equipment and can be performed just about anywhere[well use your judgement ].
Holding your body[ light as a feather]stiff as a board develops strength primarily in your core - the muscle that connects your upper body and lower body as well as your shoulders, arms,.

Skinny girl with no appetite needs some guidance

Hello,

I am Sabryna and I am 33 years old. I always have been a hard gainer. I used to eat a lot and never gain weight but I was at my healthy weight. I am 5'3'' and I think the heaviest i have ever weighted was 125 when I was a teenager. Around 20 to 24 I weighed 118 pounds, then started doing drugs I went down to 108 pounds. I got sober 6 years ago but started having stomach issues: IBS. I was in so much pain at the time, that I started eating less and less... went down to 105, then someday I took a picture of myself and noticed how skinny my arms and my face were. I went on the scale: 96 pounds. I started crying. I didn't notice until then how much weight I have lost and as I was already slim before.

Since then I have been struggling to gain my weight back. Right now I am stuck at 103-104 pounds. I hate my temples, my face because that's where it shows that I have lost weight. I also struggle with my self-esteem and my confidence because of that. My stomach is so used to eating less now that I have no appetite. I am nauseous often and tired. I went to the doctor and besides IBS, the issue is that I don't eat enough. It feels like a chore to eat because I have no appetite and I am full really fast. I also took the habits to not really sitting down to eat. Like I would make myself a plate, eat a few bites then go do something else and end up not eating my plate... same with I am with people, taking a few bites and that's it.

I am good at working out, having a workout routine but I am struggling big time with nutrition. My body fat is mostly on my arms, hips and legs. The rest is pretty skinny.

I would like to have some guidance in nutrition. I can't really eat gluten, red meat or too much cheese because of IBS. I want to gain weight, muscles and healthy fat. If someone has any advice, that would be so helpful!
